“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go, they merely determine where you start.” – Nido Qubein
Private practice fees are not contracted by your health plan and can range from $150 to $250 per session depending on the nature of the diagnosis and the indicated treatment plan. I am an in-network provider for several major insurance companies depending on availability.
Some things clients may want to know before using insurance: Therapists need to diagnose you to get reimbursed. Payment can only be for a diagnosis and this means that a person has to receive a label. Some people choose to keep this entirely private and not have any permanent record of mental health treatment through their insurance plan.
Although I do accept some insurance plans, I may have to add a surcharge for the time for filing fees and reports required to get reimbursement.
