About Me

During the many years of my practice, I have provided services to a wide range of populations and can draw upon that experience and knowledge to address your specific needs.

Working in the field of mental health as a psychotherapist, career- life coach and bereavement counselor has been most challenging and inspiring. I’m fortunate to receive much gratification and success from my practice which has somewhat paralleled my personal journey and life experiences.

My professional path began after I secured degrees in Special Education, Career Counseling and Social Work coupled with post-graduate training and Internships in Family Therapy at Phila. Child Guidance Center and Ackerman Institute. Taking advantage of advanced training followed by delivery of seminars in Couple Therapy, Infertility and Adoption, Corporate Coaching, Deaf Education, Career Education, Loss and Bereavement, Pre-natal genetics and pregnancy abnormalities , and Critical Incidence after “911” all provided opportunities to enlarge my private practice while expanding areas of interest and enrichment. I continue to design and offer workshops for Grief projects, Employee Assistance Programs, Corporate management, and city agencies relating to Balancing Work and Family, Stress Reduction, Women and Equal Opportunity, Parenting, Transition and Loss, Adolescent behavioral programs. I’m active with several EAPs for downsizing, mergers, employee illness plus HR support and training.

I consult, volunteer, and receive referrals from Montefiore and Columbia Presbyterian hospitals, Cancer Support Team, and the Bereavement Center of Westchester.

But truly the most complete and satisfying practical experience stems from learning and listening to my clients and patients as we identify issues and problem-solve towards resolution.
